Welcome

Social Hands

The Department of Sociocultural and Justice Sciences is home to numerous faculty and staff members dedicated to prepare students in a variety of social science related fields. We offer Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. In addition to the major programs we are happy to also provide our students with the opportunity to minor in the areas of Criminal Justice, Public Health and Sociology. Aside from traditional class work, students get ample opportunities within our programs to gain valuable field experience through internships and field placements. Additionally students have the opportunity to work with our excellent faculty on research projects and other professional development opportunities to broaden their knowledge within their respective fields. We also have active students clubs in all major areas, as well as honor societies to acknowledge and support high achieving students in their educational endeavors.

Please browse our website to learn more about our department, programs, and faculty and please contact the department chair at any time if you have questions. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
