The inter-city bus service for Western New York, previously operated by Coach USA is now being operated by a different company named Allegany Crew Change. During the transition, buses may be labeled Coach USA or Allegany Crew Change. The new company is working on returning service to the "full normal schedules" below. In the meantime, the following is in effect as of Nov. 15, 2024:
Monday through Saturday, SUNY Fredonia pick up times heading to Buffalo are following Schedule B and C:
9:13 am, 2:29 pm, and 6:29 pm
Monday through Saturday, departures from Buffalo to SUNY Fredonia and Jamestown will also be on Schedule B:
11:10 am, 6:00 pm, and 9:30 pm
Sundays: pick-up times at SUNY Fredonia heading to Buffalo will be at
1:44 pm and 6:50 pm
Sundays: departures from Buffalo to SUNY Fredonia will be at
3:30 pm and 9:00 pm
If you ever experience a bus NOT operating when it should, please send all the details (date, time, location, direction, etc.) to tickets@freodnia.edu so we can follow up with Allegany Crew Change.

Northbound (Jamestown to Buffalo) Southbound (Buffalo to Jamestown)
Due the unpredictability and unreliability of Coach USA service to and from Fredonia over the last 6-8 months, we do not recommend this carrier if you are making time-critical connections to other carriers in the Buffalo area (train, bus or airlines.) If you are making such connections over the campus Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter, or Spring breaks, we recommend using our Term Break Shuttle Bus Service.
Tickets for Coach USA/Allegany Crew Change are available from the ticket office during our normal hours of 9-3 M-W-F. Tickets are good for one year form the date of purchase and may be used in either direction for the two destinations shown. Passengers who are unable to purchase a ticket in advance from the Campus Ticket Office may pay the bus driver directly, but exact change is required.

PLEASE NOTE: THE COACH USA BUS/ALLEGANY CREW CHANGE ARE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANIES AND OPERATES EVERY DAY, YEAR ROUND (the holiday schedule dates are listed beneath the grid below). These companies are independent transportation carriers, (not affiliated with nor operated by the Fredonia campus.)
Because of the unreliability of COACH USA service, we do not recommend it when making critical connections in the Buffalo Area, including to Amtrak and the Buffalo Airport.
The cost for travel between Buffalo and Fredonia is $6.20 one way and $11.80 round trip. The cost for travel between Fredonia and Jamestown is $4.65 one way and $8.85 round trip.
The Coash USA destination in Buffalo is the Buffalo Metropolitan (Metro) Transportation Center and Bus Station at 181 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203. Connections are available to a variety of carriers including Greyhound and New York Trailways. The Buffalo Metro terminal is also just a short 10 minute walk to the Exchange Street Station of Amtrak (at 75 Exchange Street.)
The Coach USA Holiday schedule includes New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

All bus tickets must be purchased in person at the Fredonia Campus Ticket Office. The purchasing process may take several minutes. Please plan accordingly.
We recommend that patrons should arrive at the bus shelter at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled departure to ensure meeting the bus. The buses will not stop unless there are patrons waiting at the shelter. There is also a stop in downtown Fredonia.
