UPD officers are always on duty and on patrol across campus, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Calling UPD is the fastest way to get police, fire, or  medical first responders to your campus location. It is much faster than 911. 

Tip: Enter the University Police Department’s full number, 716-673-3333, as a contact in your cellphone, and then make University Police a  “favorite” or a “speed dial” number on your phone for immediate access to help in a stressful situation.

SUNY Fredonia is required to annually report campus crime statistics to the U.S. Department of Education as required by Title 20 of the U.S. Code Section 1092(f). This information can be found on the U.S. Department of Education’s website at https://ope.ed.gov/campussafety/#/institution/details

NY-Alert
Emergency text, email and voice message alert system is the primary tool within the mass communication system used on campus during an emergency. Students can add their parents contact information to receive messages.

RAVE Guardian 
The RAVE Guardian app turns your mobile phone into a portable blue light and gives you a direct connection with University Police while you're walking on or off campus.

Blue Lights emergency phones
There are 29 blue light phones across campus along with emergency call boxes located at the entrance of every residence hall.

Emergency Preparedness Procedures 
The campus has a full team prepared to deal with a variety of emergency situations

Students of Concern team 
Serves as a resource to the campus community and is designed for early intervention regarding behavioral issues to help support the health, safety, and success of students;

Automatic External Defribillators (AEDs)
AEDs are located in every building on campus. Fredonia currently has 110 AED units available for use. AEDs are located in the main lobby of each building as well as several other key locations.

Towing Fees 
Process your towing fee online. After entering your personal information, print out the receipt and turn it into UPD office on the second floor of Gregory Hall for services to be rendered.

Bicycle registration
Our bicycle registration option for students, faculty and staff is free of charge. This information will be used to assist in the recovery of a bicycle in the event it is lost or stolen.
