May 1st Balance of $2,365 (cost of the program $3515, not tuition) due
Before May 27 Enroll in INED 399 and pay tuition
Program Cost Includes All of the Following:
- 3 Credits in Spanish language, 2-3 credits of Mexican culture and literature
- All school materials included (except notebooks, pens and pencils)
- Guest lectures about photography, graffiti, films, etc.
- Visits to markets, artisan shops, and other local business to complete assignments
- Family homestay who provides three meals a day including lunch, the biggest meal of the day
- 3 days guided excursion to Mexico City (includes lodging and transportation)
- Day guided excursions to local museums and archaeological sites, including Monte Alban
- A three-day weekend “vacation” trip to Puerto Escondido, one of the most beautiful beaches
- Weekend of ecotourism in the Sierra, lodging and transportation included
- Round-trip airfare Buffalo-Oaxaca and ground transportation to / from airport included
- Weekly service-learning component in indigenous community
- One credit Spring mini-course with historical and cultural orientation and introduction
- Placement exam
