Band Practice: Get together with your band mates will work together to practice and refine your tunes for the performance at the end of camp. Your group will have the opportunity to work with music coaches to bring your tunes to the next level.

Songwriting: In this interactive and collaborative workshop, you will explore your creativity by learning about the basics of songwriting (e.g., harmonic structure, lyrics, form, melody) and crafting your own original songs.

Sandbox: Daily “Sandbox” Sessions are workshops during which you will engage with a coach to develop skills on their “primary” instrument and other modern band instruments.

Ear Training: Work on your ability, and learn strategies to pick up music by ear.

Technology and Music Production: Learn strategies for using a digital audio workstation (DAW) for recording, creating, sequencing, mixing, and for basic editing.

History of Popular Music: Learn about some of the foundational artists and groups who have shaped the way we create, perform, and consume music today.

Evening Activities: Enjoy fun activities such as open mic, a faculty concert, movie night, karaoke, and ultimate frisbee.

Final Gig: Celebrate your hard work with family and friends! Bands will perform the tunes they’ve been working on all week and individuals and small groups will have the chance to share their original songs.
