On Saturday, May 1, SUNY Fredonia will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Fredonia Fest, featuring national recording act, Brand New.

This year the event will take place indoors in the Steele Hall Field House beginning at 3 pm. The vending area and Dinosaur BBQ will be outdoors behind Steele Hall in tents. The fire marshal has predetermined that 3,600 tickets will be available for distribution.

Between April 21 and April 30, SUNY Fredonia alumni may purchase up to 2 tickets via phone or in-person (see hours of operation for ticket office) with the appropriate code. These tickets will cost $10 each while supplies last. Alumni interested must first contact the office of Alumni Affairs to confirm their status and receive a special ticket code.

General policy on ticket sales:

Due to the increasing popularity and attendance of this event and the finite number of tickets available, this year SUNY Fredonia students may pick up one free ticket for themselves and purchase one ticket for a guest at $5, while available. This is a change from years past. Since 2002, Fredonia Fest has been an event that is limited to currently enrolled students and their guests. However, students could previously purchase up to four tickets for guests. Based on our increasing enrollment and past complaints, this number is now limited to ensure that more currently enrolled students may attend the festival.

All guests that enter must be accompanied by a SUNY Fredonia student, be 18 years of age or older, have a ticket, and show proper ID at the entrance. Tickets will be distributed through the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center as follows on a first come-first serve basis until sold out:
April 1-30 Students may pick up 1 free ticket in person with their SUNY Fredonia photo ID.

Student teachers coming to pick up commencement tickets on Sunday, April 18 may also pick up their Fred Fest tickets at the Ticket Office between the hours of 1:00pm-3:00pm.

April 1-30: Students may purchase 1 ticket for a guest with their SUNY Fredonia photo ID.  Guest tickets will cost $5.00 each. All guests must enter with a SUNY Fredonia student.

April 21-30: Faculty and staff may purchase up to 2 tickets in person with SUNY Fredonia photo ID. These tickets will cost $10 each while supplies last.

In effort to keep the event safe for all those involved the following policies will be enforced.
• No food or drink will be allowed to enter the event from outside sources. Food and drink will be provided through local vendors.
• No cameras or video recording equipment will be allowed to enter the event.
• No moshing or crowd surfing is allowed. Those caught doing so will be escorted out of the event.
• University Police and other local law enforcement personnel will be checking both ID’s and bags at the entrance.
