The Herbert Clark Mackie and Marion C. Mackie Memorial Endowment Fund
Herbert Clark Mackie graduated from Fredonia Normal School in 1928 and was a teacher at the School for 28 years. He and his wife Marion evidenced a firm and deep commitment to assisting students in their personal needs and professional pursuits. This endowment was established in 1999 by Lyle H. and Margaret Bailey Hemink, both graduates of Fredonia.
The scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior year student majoring in environmental science or an elementary/secondary education student with a concentration in environmental and/or natural sciences who demonstrate strong scholarship and a financial need; and /or any student who may be inclined to use Mackie Camp as a field of study center or laboratory for specific ecological efforts; New York State residents preferred.
