School of Music alumnus John Green, ’09, will return to campus to present a free lecture on composer John Cage, considered to be perhaps the most polarizing figure in 20th century music.

The talk, "John Cage's Water Walk: Comedy and Domesticity on Postwar Television," will be held in 2140 Mason Hall on Monday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m.

The lecture is sponsored by the Division of Music Theory, History, and Composition, and anyone interested in modern art, modern music, media studies, and 20thcentury history is encouraged to attend.

Mr. Green is completing his dissertation in Musicology at the Eastman School of Music.
