Fredonia’s Accounting Society is sponsoring its first “Jeopardy” tournament on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. in Williams Center Room S204. Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to join in on the fun at the free event. In addition to food and refreshments, prizes will be awarded to all competitors, with a grand prize for the “Jeopardy” winner.

The event is being held to celebrate International Accounting Day, which falls on the following day, Nov. 10. International Accounting Day commemorates the first published mention of the modern day accounting system – double entry bookkeeping. In 1494, a Venetian merchant published a book which described the system in its final chapter.
