The Community Meet and Greet will be held on Friday, April 22 from 8 to 9 a.m. at the CCCC as an opportunity to greet the new center director, Beth Mulkin. There will be a variety of refreshments and baked goods available.

To wrap up the Month of the Young Child™, there will be a barbeque fundraiser on Saturday, April 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Barker Common near the gazebo. The chicken and pork barbeque will be catered by La Dasa D/Mangia, Mike Porpiglia. There will be children’s games, art activities, music and a basket raffle. Pre-sale tickets are available at the CCCC for $10, by calling 716-673-4662, or from a center board member.

“All young children need and deserve high-quality early learning experiences that will prepare them for life, and Chautauqua County has a great opportunity to do our part to help young children,” said Ms. Mulkin, director of the CCCC. “Month of the Young Child™ is a time to recognize that Early Years are Learning Years® for all young children.”

The Campus and Community Children’s Center is accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children, the largest organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of early education programs for children birth through age 12.
