Two Fredonia women's soccer players have been named to the 2018 SUNYAC All-Conference Team.
Sophomore defender Lauren Cullinan (Clarence/Clarence) was named to the First Team, and senior forward Abby Price (Naples, N.Y./Naples) made the Third Team.
Cullinan is a repeat All SUNYAC choice -- she made the Second Team as a freshman. In addition to being the Blue Devils' top defender, Cullinan had two goals and four assists to finish second on the team -- behind Price -- with eight points. She also was a Blue Devil co-captain.
"This is a well-deserved honor," Fredonia Head Coach Chris Case said. "Lauren is a player with great tenacity and determination, one of the best in the conference. She does a lot for our team, including playing different positions, to help spark our attack. Although only a sophomore, she's already an outstanding leader."
Price was Fredonia's top scorer in 2018, leading to her first all-conference honor. She had six goals and two assists for 14 points despite an injury which limited her playing time late in the season. She had three of her goals in a 3-2 victory over Brockport on Sept. 28, a result which enabled the Blue Devils to finish one point ahead of Brockport in the standings and earn the sixth and final playoff berth.
"Abby had a good year for us, her best of her four years," Coach Case said. "We moved her to forward this year and she came through in several big situations for us."
