Fredonia State had seven second-place finishes by individuals before winning the 200-yard freestyle to close out its men's swimming and diving meet Saturday at Allegheny College.
The relay win was fashioned by Kyle Copper, Drew Page, Bradley Zifra, and Cameron Criss in a time of 1:27.53.
Copper had three second-place finishes. He was edged out in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle sprints in times of 23.15 seconds and 50.33 seconds, respectively. He was also second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:14.66).
Page was second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:50.05) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.91).
Other runner-up finishers came from Zach Dean in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:55.98) and Zifra in the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.61). In addition, Zifra was third in the 1,000-yard free, Dean third in the 200-yard butterfly, and Kaden Cole third in both the 200-yard free and the 500-yard free.
Allegheny won the meet, 149-73.
The team travels to Brockport next weekend.
