Anthony Ruiz (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) was the top Blue Devil and the seventh overall runner at the Fredonia State Invitational on Saturday. Ruiz finished the course in a time of 20:03.67. Gannon and Roberts Wesleyan also competed.
Other top finishers for the Devils were Josh Walters (15th, 21:15.37) and Kyle Campbell (16th, 21:19.35). A trio of Devils finished packed at 20, 21, and 22 -- Ethan Pocock (21:49.25), Joseph Hernandez-Bentley (21:50.62), and Aaron Mendez (21:52.04).
Roberts Wesleyan won the team score with five of the top six finishers. Jacob Lehotsky of Gannon was the top runner in a time of 19:41.64.
The Devils return to action in two weeks at the U of R Yellow Jacket Invitational.
