Fredonia State women's volleyball split its two matches Saturday at Dods Hall, losing first to Susquehanna, 3-0, before taking down the University of Rochester, 3-0.
The Devils fell to Susquehanna 25-10, 25-19, and 25-21. Emma Booth and Emily Leone recorded five kills each in the morning match. Kourtney Krchniak had 17 assists, Bridget Murphy six, and Krchniak and Emily Jones two service aces each. Defensively, Sierra Keim had 22 digs and Leone and Christie Ackendorf two blocks each.
In their bounce-back win over University of Rochester, Brinn Shaughnessy had 13 kills and hit .462 to go along with three service aces and seven digs. Booth collected eight kills and Jones had six. Krchniak had 30 assists plus two service aces. Others with two aces were Keim and Kaitlin Patt. Keim again showed the way defensively with 15 digs. Patt added 10.
With the two victories this weekend, Susquehanna improved to 21-3. Rochester fall to 8-15 with the two losses.
The Devils play host to Cortland and Oswego next weekend.
