The SUNY Fredonia Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED) will be conducting a Grant Writing workshop on Nov. 7.
The event, part of its Entrepreneurial Education Program, will feature J.F. Consulting, and owner and grant specialist Jody Falkner will be the presenter.
The event is free and open to the public and will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the CIED Large Conference Room located at 214 Central Avenue in Dunkirk, NY.
During the workshop, Falkner will discuss grant seeking trends, Request for Proposal (RFP) review, connecting need to program, meeting required pre-requisites and research grant opportunities.

Falkner has over 24 years of experience in grant research, project and proposal development, and grant administration. She is a self-taught grant writer and administrator and was a member of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation grants committee for nine years. In 2021, she started J.F. Grant Consulting Services, a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise and CIED client, to fulfill her passion and desire to bring much-needed funding to Northern Chautauqua County and support non-profit organizations and small municipalities. Over the last two years, Falkner has secured close to a million dollars in funding for local non-profits and municipalities.
