Hana Gist, displaying her “Student of the Month” certificate, is joined by Associate Director Rachel Martin and Director Mark Suida, both of Campus Life.
Hana Gist, of Williamsville, NY, has been named the October “Student of the Month” by the Office of Residence Life.
Ms. Gist was nominated for this award by Director of Campus Life Mark Suida, who cited her strong academics and numerous contributions that are highlighted by Gist’s work as chair of the BSU Fashion Show.
"Hana is an outstanding intern who does little things such as sending thank you notes to program collaborators without even being asked. She is a true joy to work with.” – Director of Campus Life Mark Suida
Mr. Suida spoke highly of Gist’s abilities, stating, “Hana is an outstanding intern who does little things such as sending thank you notes to program collaborators without even being asked. She is a true joy to work with.”
When asked about her favorite things about Fredonia, Gist wrote, “When I think of my favorite Fredonia things, I think of self-improvement and self-expression. Over these past two semesters, I've truly pushed myself beyond my comfort zone, allowing me to grow in ways I never imagined possible.
“I’m proud of how far I've come, and I can't wait to see where this journey will lead me next!”
Gist, a senior majoring in Political Science, is also an intern with Campus Life and assists with the office’s programming on campus.
The Student of the Month program was implemented in 2003 to recognize students who are well-rounded, excel in their academics and contribute positively to the campus and community.
