Calie Hudson was the top runner for the Fredonia State women at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional meet, held Saturday on campus.

Hudson, a freshman, covered the 6,000-meter layout in 24:45.3 to finish 75th in a field of 156 women. Her 4:00.1 first 1,000 meters and her 4:05.0 final 1,000 were her two fastest splits.

Fredonia State had four other women compete on the home course. Holly Rohrbach was 103rd, Amilcar Centeno 107th, Vanessa Ryhal 120th, and Elizabeth Wagner 131st.

New York University edged Geneseo for the team championship. NYU runners accumulated 32 points while Geneseo had 36. The University of Rochester was a distant third with 107 points.

Fredonia State finished 17th.
