Two Fredonia State Blue Devils have been chosen to the SUNYAC Women's Volleyball All-Decade Team.
Brittany Lis of the Class of 2012 and Jessica DiChristopher of the Class of 2016 were cited along with 17 others from the 10 conference schools.
Lis, a setter from Lancaster, N.Y., and Lancaster High School, was chosen 2011 SUNYAC Player of the Year and was a three-time All-SUNYAC honoree (2009, 2010, 2011). She made an immediate impact as a starter on the Blue Devils' 2008 SUNYAC championship team and remained a starter all four years.
She's fourth on the Fredonia State career lists for assists (2,969), including 1,235 as a senior, the third-highest single-season total in program history. That total included a career-high 58 assists in a 2011 semifinal match vs. New Paltz in 2011.
In addition to her exploits in volleyball, Lis also was a four-year starter and three-time captain on the Blue Devil softball team. An Education major, Lis made the SUNYAC Commissioner's List and the Academic Honor Roll.
Hailing from Cheektowaga, and West Seneca East High School, DiChristopher was a middle blocker from 2012 through 2015. In addition to making the All- SUNYAC Team in 2014 and 2015, she was a two-time American College Volleyball Association First Team All-Region as well as an AVCA Honorable Mention All-America.
DiChristopher graduated No. 3 in kills and No. 4 in total blocks on Fredonia State career lists. She was among SUNYAC leaders in three statistical categories in 2014: No. 2 in points per set, No. 4 in total blocks, and No. 5 in blocks per set. She followed that up in 2015 third in points per set, fifth in kills, sixth in hitting percentage, and seventh in blocks on conference leader lists.
An Exercise Science major, she was honored on the Academic All-Conference recipient.
