Fredonia State unleashed a high-powered offense Saturday in a 7-1 women's soccer win over Elmira at University Stadium.

The Blue Devils (2-3-0) treated a Kids' Day crowd to their best scoring output of the season with goals by five different players. It was the most goals scored by the Blue Devils since a 7-0 win over King's (Pa.) on Sept. 6, 2009.

Sophia Alesi had a pair of goals, including the second goal of the game which went down as the game-winner. Nina Doyle also scored twice while Sophie Richiusa, Izzy Audette, and Gabby Alston scored one goal each.

In the process, four freshmen -- Alessi, Doyle, Audette, and Alston -- scored their first collegiate goals while Nicki Barlow -- also a freshman -- registered her first points with two assists.

Fredonia State goalkeeper Abbey Monahan was credited with two saves.
