Todd Proffitt
Professor Todd Proffitt was recently nominated and accepted a two-year term as president for the Allegheny Highlands Council of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America).
The Allegheny Highlands Council, which serves youth in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties in New York State, as well as McKean and Potter counties in Pennsylvania, provides programming and opportunities that foster character development, outdoor skills and leadership.
Proffitt has been volunteering with scouting for the past four years, finishing a term as the Committee Chair for Troop 267 in Fredonia, NY, after serving the previous year as the troop’s Scoutmaster. A longtime member of the Department of Theatre and Dance, Proffitt is also Senior Assistant Dean in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
