Students can reserve one block in each facility each day. Failure to show up for three blocks in any facility will result in a loss of preregistration privileges.

Registration opens one week in advance of each time slot.

Students can use Dods Gymnasium before the Fitness Center, they just need to be sure the have two separate reservations, one in each calendar.

Masks will need to be worn at all times in the Fitness Center, Dods Gymnasium, and Tennis Courts, even when exercising. In particular, no bandanas or gaiters will be allowed in the fitness center. A face shield can be worn in the fitness center if a student is unable to wear a mask.

No drinking fountains be available; only water bottle refill stations will be available in the facilities, so students should please bring a water bottle.

Upon entering the fitness center students will notice several changes: every second piece of cardio equipment is blocked off to promote social distancing; upper-level cardio equipment is shut down with the exception of ellipticals, which are turned around; dumbbell benches are spaced out; the rock wall area is being used as additional space; and floor markers offer reminders to maintain social distance.

Only paper towels will be available to sanitize equipment. Students should please bring their own sweat towel.

Tennis Courts

All students intending to play tennis must complete wellness and temperature checks at the fitness center desk. Students will leave their FREDCard with a fitness center desk attendant and she will give the students the tennis courts key.

Outdoor Basketball Courts

At this time, the outdoor basketball courts will not be available, but the university will assess the use of Dods Gymnasium to inform the decision moving forward.
