The Fredonia women's volleyball team defeated Thiel and North Carolina Wesleyan on Saturday to even its record at 6-6. It was the third and fourth straight wins for the Devils.

In the Devils' 3-1 victory over Thiel, Emily Leone (Le Roy, N.Y. / LeRoy) led the team with 15 kills, and Emma Booth (Hamburg/Frontier) added 13. Emily Jones (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic) had nine kills and three service aces. Setter Kourtney Krchniak (Lockport/Lockport) had 47 assists and a team-high four aces. Makenna Kallin led the defense with 21 digs.

Fredonia dropped the first set, 18-25, then rallied for the next three, winning 26-24, 25-17, and 25-14.

Against N.C. Wesleyan, Booth and Jones led the way with nine and eight kills, respectively. Jones had four blocks. Kallin had six service aces and 12 digs. Sierra Keim (Shinglehouse, Pa./Portville) also had 12 digs.

The Devils won 25-12, 25-21, and 25-21.

The Devils open conference play Tuesday at Buffalo State.
