Fredonia finished 9th of 12 teams in the women's portion of the Brockport Multi & Invitational indoor track and field meet Saturday.
Top performances by the Blue Devils:
Sophomore jumper Cassie Serafin (Cheektowaga) cleared 1.48 meters (4 feet, 10.25 inches) to finish second in the high jump.
Freshman middle-distance runner Emily Fish (Fairport) opened her collegiate career by finishing fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.39.
It was also a good start of the indoor season for senior middle-distancer Emily Maguire (Oakdale), who ran a strong 800 meters of 2:30.53 for ninth place.
Senior thrower Abriel Andrews (Syracuse) finished eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 12.06 meters (39 feet, 7 inches)
Freshman distance runner Elena Davis (Rochester, N.Y.) ran 11:53.98 in the 3,000 meters, which bettered her previous-best time in the event.
Next up for the Blue Devils is a trip to Utica College's Blue & Orange Invitational & Multi meet next Saturday, Feb. 2.
