The generosity of SUNY Fredonia employees allowed the State Employees Federated Appeal campaign to once again exceed its campus goal.

The 2024 appeal, which began in September, brought in $27,033 in cash and pledges, surpassing its $25,000 goal.

SEFA is the single combined campaign for employees of New York State, providing funds year-round to support health and human service agencies who aid people of all ages and backgrounds in Western New York and statewide. The annual campus campaign provides employees an opportunity to help these agencies through one contribution.

Fredonia SEFA Committee Chairwoman Kellie Sacilowski of the School of Music said campus employees have continually helped the appeal exceed its goal.

“The SEFA Committee would like to thank everyone who made the SEFA campaign a success again this year,” Mrs. Sacilowski said. “The campus community always comes through in support of SEFA.”

In May 2024, the Fredonia SEFA Committee raised more than $1,000 for the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County by presenting a food truck event on campus.
