Runner Nick Serafin
Fredonia finished 7th of 11 teams in the men's portion of the Brockport Multi & Invitational indoor track and field meet Saturday.
Top performances by the Blue Devils:
Senior vertical jumper Nick Serafin (Depew) opened his indoor season by finishing second in the high jump. He cleared 1.88 meters (6-feet, 2 inches).
Sophomore pole vaulter Jonah McGrath (Penfield) cleared a personal-best 4.40 meters (15-feet, 5.25 inches) to tie for second place.
Sophomore horizontal jumper Dan Sudyn (West Seneca) had a strong day in the sand pit. He was second in the triple jump (13.37 meters / 43-feet, 10.5 inches) and fifth in the long jump (6.34 meters / 20-feet, 9.75 inches).
Sophomore sprinter Marcus Torres (Goshen) finished sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 52.26 seconds. He also ran a leg on the 4-by-400 relay which finished third.
Sophomore distance/mid-distance runner Noah Watkins (Cortland) ran a personal-best 9:33.72 in the 3,000 meters.
Next up for the Blue Devils is a trip to Utica College's Blue & Orange Invitational & Multi meet next Saturday, Feb. 2.
