The Fredonia Technology Incubator continues its Arts and Business Luncheon Series with guest speaker Yvonne Grenkowicz, a well-known animator from New York City.
Students and community members who have an interest in animation are encouraged to attend this event. The luncheon is slated for Nov. 4 from noon until 1 p.m. at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Registration is free and required. “Having an accomplished artist and entrepreneur on site to share experiences furthers our mission of instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in the community and inspiring business startups that will create jobs in our area,” said Monica Kemp, incubator program manager. Ms. Grzenkowicz is active in the New York City animation scene. She is the director and lead animator for Eyesnare Inc., as well as an animator and instructor for The Animation Project which serves at-risk youth in New York City. She is also the founder and artistic director of Animation Nights New York and she serves as a New York correspondent for Animation for Adults.
Grzenkowicz will talk about her experience working with high profile clients, including DreamworksTV and Sesame Street, using animation as a therapeutic medium, and networking in one of the world’s largest cities.
