Department of Biology students who received fellowships to perform research under the mentorship of biology faculty during the summer will present the findings of their research Friday, Oct. 16.

The presentations will be held from 2 to 4:15 p.m. in the Kelly Family Auditorium in the Science Center. There will be a reception following the event in the Science Center’s Gavin Aerie.

Students presenting their research include: Emily Bystrak, Lancaster, N.Y.; Tyler Christensen, Sheridan; Rebecca Hartling, Falconer; Jeffrey Martin, Derby; Breanna Myers, Seneca Falls; Jennifer Phillips Russo and Abigail Stavish, Fredonia; and Kawthr Sendi, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The Department of Biology at Fredonia aims to provide excellent instruction in all areas of Biological Science from molecules to ecosystems. Through rigorous student centered programs of study, the department aspires to produce graduates who are well-prepared to enter graduate and professional programs and a wide variety of career opportunities.
