Student groups Fredonia for St. Jude and St. Baldrick’s Foundation are joining forces for a night in the Williams Center to raise fund for childhood cancer research. Brave the Shave and Rock Out for Cancer will take place back-to-back on the evening of Thursday, March 3.
St. Baldrick’s Foundation will host Brave the Shave for kids with cancer from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room. The event provides the opportunity for students to shave their heads, volunteer or sign up to raise money for childhood research.
Fredonia for St. Jude will host Rock Out for Cancer immediately after from 8 to 10 p.m. There is a $5 admission at the ticket office. The event will include performances, raffles, food, and prizes, which will all support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives. Fredonia for St. Jude raises money for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
