Fredonia is participating for the 15th year in Buffalo News Kids Day, slated for Tuesday, April 25.
The event’s purpose is to raise money for the Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo, Cradle Beach and the children of Western New York.
All participants are volunteers who will wake up early in the morning to sell special $1 Kids Day editions of the Buffalo News from 6 to 9 a.m. Volunteers will stand on street corners throughout the Village of Fredonia, City of Dunkirk and Village of Brocton.
It is hoped this year that Fredonia will reach $50,000 in total funds it has raised to benefit the cause.
