Jerry Sullivan

Jerry Sullivan, sports columnist for the Buffalo News.

SUNY Fredonia's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists welcomes Buffalo News Senior Sports Columnist Jerry Sullivan as he speaks for the Distinguished Speaker Series on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in Thompson Hall E122. The event is free and open to the public.

Sullivan’s strong opinion, voiced as the senior columnist at The Buffalo News and as a frequent quest on WGR radio, draws both those who agree with him—and those who don’t—to find out what he has to say after every Buffalo Bills game.

Sullivan is now involved in post-game wrap-ups with fellow News reports Mark Gaughan and Rod McKissic.

n his 22 years at The Buffalo News, the Rhode Island native has covered all the major sporting events, including the Olympics, the Masters, Super Bowls, World Series, NCAA Final Four and the NBA

Before Sullivan joined The Buffalo News in 1989 as a sports columnist, he covered the NBA for Newsday, the Long Island based daily newspaper.
