The nation is celebrating “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” and SUNY Fredonia is inviting children of its employees to observe their parents at work on Thursday, April 28. The day creates bonds between the world of work and the wider world of home, family and community, while allowing the children to see firsthand the importance of their parents’ responsibilities.
The theme of the day is “Invent the Future” and SUNY Fredonia has a slate of activities planned for the participants. This day will show the children their potential to produce positive change, since the future is theirs and it starts now. “Invent the Future” also indicates the importance of working today for tomorrow’s success.
Children coming to work with their parents are between the ages of seven and 16, and have been excused from school by their principals. “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” is sponsored by Employee Assistance Program, Alumni Affairs, V.P. of Administration, Admissions, Buster Brown Bean Company, Student Affairs, Campus Life, FSA and X-Press Promotional Solutions.
