Donation Drive 2009

Director of Volunteer Services Joyce Harvard Smith (third from left) and student volunteers survey the results of last week's Donation Drive.

The 10th year of the Campus-Wide Donation Drive was a huge success, with the largest amount of donations in the history of the drive.

This year’s donations included 75 bags (60 gallon bags) of clothing, 45 boxes of food and 30 boxes of toys. Volunteers included 50 students and seven faculty/staff. All items collected were donated to local agencies of the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton CYO.

Last year’s donations benefited 180 families, which included over 800 members of the community.

The donation drive is co-sponsored by the Counseling Center, Academic Advising, Residence Life, Custodial Services, Volunteer Services, and Student Affairs.
