Assistant Professor Michael Clarkson-Hendrix of the Department of Sociocultural and Justice Sciences, presented the talk, “Workplace Attachment: An Organizational Perspective to Address the Health Gap,” at the 63rd Annual Program Meeting of the Council on Social Work Education, held Oct. 19 to 22 in Dallas, Texas.
The presentation imparted curriculum implications for social work educators derived from a science-based study exploring the features of attaching workplace experiences. These generative experiences could be used to derive interventions that insulate emerging professional social workers from burnout and sustain them within the field.
