Department of Sociocultural and Justice Sciences Assistant Professor Michael Clarkson-Hendrix presented an ePoster, “Workplace Attachment in Veteran Health Care Sector Social Workers: A Qualitative Study,” with co-presenter John Carroll-Barbuto, at the 21st Annual Conference of the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR), held Jan. 12-15, in New Orleans, La.

The presentation focused on expanding the application of attachment theory by investigating worker experiences as organized by a workplace-based attachment system. Types of workplace attachment were identified.

“Ensure Healthy Development for all Youth” was the theme of the annual conference.

SSWR is a non-profit, professional membership organization that supports social workers, social welfare professionals, social work students and social work faculty and researchers in related fields.
