The Public Relations Student Society of America will be hosting the annual Department of Communication alumni reception during Homecoming weekend. The reception is especially exciting because it is the 10th anniversary of Fredonia’s chapter of PRSSA.
The reunion is a great opportunity for students from the Department of Communication to network with alumni who have experience and advice in the communication field. It also encourages alumni to reconnect with each other and Fredonia, as well as see how communication students are involved with the organization.
The reception will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. at Heenan’s Pub on the corner of East Main Street and Eagle Street in the village. There will be pizza, drinks and a door prize donated by the Alumni Office. The Communication Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta, will be co-sponsoring the event with PRSSA.
“At the Department of Communication alumni reception, students can connect with professionals they might have never gotten the opportunity to meet before to hear about the experiences that have gotten them to where they are today,” said Libby Elkins, senior and current chapter vice president.
