The Office of Volunteer and Community Services, along with its Volunteer Advisory Committee, will be hosting its 12th Community Service Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 23 in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room, beginning at 10 a.m.

The event, slated to run until 2 p.m., will provide Fredonia students the opportunity to meet with and talk to a variety of area community service agencies. Students will be able to sign-up and learn more about the local agencies. Refreshments will also be provided.

Some of the agencies participating will include The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County, Make-A-Wish Western New York, Community Blood Bank, Lakeshore Humane Society and many more.

The main purpose of this event is to get the students involved and for the Office of Volunteer and Community Services to build partnerships between the community and the campus.

For any questions regarding the event, contact Joyce Harvard Smith, coordinator of Volunteer and Community Services at 716-673-3690 or at smithjh@fredonia.edu.
