Fredonia senior Sarah Couperus (Marion/Marion) won the women's high jump Saturday during the Geneseo Early-Season Invitational track & field meet.

Her winning jump of 1.58 meters (5 feet, 2 1/4 inches) was one of six top-eight finishes by Blue Devil women, competing outdoors for the first time after a series of indoor meets.

Cassie Serafin (Cheektowaga/Depew), a freshman, finished second in the triple jump. Her best effort measured 10.67 meters (35 feet, 1/4 inch).

Rachel Williams (Lockport/Lockport), a senior, was fourth in the hammer throw at 41.64 meters (136 feet, 7 inches).

Kristen Sawyer (Lockport/Lockport), a senior, cleared 3.07 meters (10 feet, 3/4 inch) in the pole vault to finish sixth in the event.

Madison Courtney (Geetzville/Williamsville South), a senior, finished sixth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:15.39.

The quartet of senior Brittany Feldman (Jamestown/Southwestern), junior Emily Magure (Oakdale/Connetquot), junior Stephanie Wojnowski (Rochester, N.Y./Eastridge), and freshman Dakota Dugan (Webster/Webster Thomas) combined for a sixth-place finish in the 4,-by-400 meter relay in a time of 4:37.97.
