Sam Crisalli, a freshman Sports Management major, received a scholarship during the 54th annual Syracuse Insurance Day Conference, held on Oct. 21 at the OnCenter Convention Center of Syracuse.
Each year, the Syracuse IDay Committee awards two $2,000 scholarships to children or grandchildren of a current or deceased member of one of the three founding organizations of Syracuse IDay: The Independent Insurance Agents Association of Central New York, Inc., The Syracuse Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society and Syracuse Insurance Professionals. Sponsored by The Hartford, the U.S.-based Fortune 500 investment and insurance company, award recipients are selected based on academic achievement and participation in community service.
Syracuse IDay works to support both the insurance industry and the Central New York community. Through industry participation, national guest speakers, informational exhibitions, networking opportunities, scholarships and charitable donations, the conference has become the region's largest annual insurance gathering.
