Dr. Dani McKinney
Dr. Dani McKinney, professor of Psychology at SUNY Fredonia, has made national headlines for her work on the effectiveness of podcasted lectures.
Dani McKinney made national headlines earlier this year regarding the research she and her team have conducted on podcasts. This December, the campus community gets a chance to hear straight from the researcher about the discoveries that were so provocative, even the New York Times paid attention.

The SUNY Fredonia College of Natural and Social Sciences will hold its third Social Science Colloquium of the 2009-2010 academic year on Monday, Dec. 7, with Dr. McKinney, assistant professor of Psychology, as the featured presenter.

Dr. McKinney’s presentation is titled, “iTunes in the Classroom: Can Podcasts Replace Professors?”

The event will be held at noon in W380 Thompson Hall. The colloquium is free and open to all faculty, staff and students. Pizza and beverages will be provided by the Dean of the College of Natural and Social Sciences, the event sponsor.

Please contact Dr. Jack Croxton, professor of psychology and coordinator of the Social Science Colloquium, for more information.
