The Fredonia women's volleyball team made quick work of Plattsburgh on Saturday before taking on eventual regular-season conference champion Geneseo in the season's final game of pool play. The Devils took the first set, but would fall 3-1 to the Knights.

Against the Cardinals (1-7 SUNYAC / 6-20 overall), Fredonia won 25-17, 25-17, and 25-23. SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown/Southwestern) had 10 kills, and Kailey Falk (York, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) added nine. Emily Jones (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic) added five kills and three aces, while Amanda Mosack (Webster/Webster Schroeder) also had three aces to go along with  28 assists.

Rachel Aiello (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) had 11 digs, and Falk added 10.

Fredonia battled to a 26-24 win in the first set against Geneseo, who would finish the year 9-0 in the conference. The Knights responded with three straight victories, winning 25-17, 25-20, and 25-18.

Rudny again led the team with 15 kills, with Jones adding 10, and Falk eight.

Jones also added four aces and three blocks to top the team. Mosack had 39 assists and Makenna Kallin (Owego/Owego) had 15 digs.

The Devils (6-3 SUNYAC / 17-9 overall) qualify for the SUNYAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed and will host a home semi-final game against Potsdam. Prior to that, they play at the New York State Regional Invitational at Nazareth next weekend.
