A 7-0 second half scoring advantage carried Fredonia to a 12-5 home women's lacrosse win over Montclair State in the sub-freezing cold at University Stadium on March 22.

Marissa Cussins (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post West) scored the go-ahead goal early in the second half. She added two more goals while Emily Polizzi (Rushville, N.Y./Marcus Whitman) had two goals and Katie Miller (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) and Katie Glagolev (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) one goal each during the second-half uprising.

Cussins finished with five goals and one assist while Katie Kleine (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) had one goal and three assists and Miller two goals and one assist to pace the Blue Devil attack. Defensively, Nicole Burrows (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) made 11 saves and Kleine was credited with four caused turnovers. Audrey Yokopovich (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) collected six ground balls and Kleine four.

Fredonia improved to 5-1 heading into a March 26 non-conference road game at St. John Fisher.
