Fredonia Director of Facilities Services Kevin Cloos reported that eight semi-trailers were filled with e-recyclables by the end of Saturday's event, and 1,251 vehicles drove through drop-off points, in what is believed to be the largest e-recycling event in Fredonia's history. The university partnered with State Senator Catharine Young, Time Warner Cable and e-recycler Sunnking as sponsors.

In addition to Mr. Cloos, staffers including Director of University Services Terry Tzitzis, Head Swim Coach Arthur Wang, Assistant Director of Residence Life/University Village Townhouse Coordinator Daniel Goodwin, Dr. Michael Jabot from the College of Education, and Jeff Deering and Matt Walters from Custodial Services directed vehicles. Members of the Men’s and Women’s Swimming teams and Business Club spent hours hauling old televisions, computer pieces, and other items out of vehicles for recycling.

Vehicles were lined up well before the 9 a.m. starting time and traffic was heavy at times, winding from the Central Avenue entrance to campus to the drop off area at the double-tiered parking lot.
