Kappa Sigma fraternity and Sigma Kappa sorority are hosting the annual Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn of Lanford House on Sunday, April 10 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Children of any age throughout the community are encouraged to participate in the event at the home of President Virginia Horvath, located at 194 Central Ave.

Arts and crafts will begin at 1 p.m. and include face painting, bracelet making, Easter egg bag making, and a live petting zoo featuring goats, turkeys, bunnies and small horses. There will be opportunities for children to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and Mr. Carrot. Walmart has also donated a bike for a raffle.

The Easter egg hunt will begin promptly at 2 p.m. With hundreds of eggs scattered and hidden around the lawn, children will be encouraged to collect as many as possible.

A spokesperson for Sigma Kappa noted, “We are excited to be a part of such a positive event to bring together our campus and community. We look forward to meeting families and children in the area!”

The organizations will be looking for donations from local business to add to the event. For more information regarding the egg hunt, please contact Lindsay Ryan at lryan@fredonia.edu.
