Five Fredonia employees, whose collective service spans more than 65 years and all major departments within the Finance and Administration division, have received the Outstanding Administrative Service Award in recognition of exemplary service during 2015.
A luncheon to honor the five individuals was held on Sept. 29 at the Alumni House. Recipients of the award include:
- Fred Tripp, a member of the professional staff and Commissary Manager with the Faculty Student Association (FSA). A resident of Dunkirk, Mr. Tripp began at Fredonia with FSA in September 1994 as a Dining Services supervisor.
- Iris Rosa from Custodial Services and a Janitor in Maytum Hall. A resident of Dunkirk, Rosa has served in the Custodial department since April 1998.
- John Schmidt from the Professional Trades as a Motor Equipment Maintenance Supervisor in Facilities Services. Mr. Schmidt, who joined Fredonia in March 2005 as a Maintenance Assistant, resides in Silver Creek.
- Janet Parsons from Secretarial/Clerical, is an Office Assistant 3 in University Services. Ms. Parsons began her career at Fredonia in September 2009 as the Senior Mail and Supply Clerk and resides in Springville.
- Sharon Hogg, a member of the FSA Operational staff as an Assistant Service Clerk in the Bookstore. Ms. Hogg, who has worked with FSA since August 2004 when she began as an Assistant Service Worker in Dining Services, resides in Silver Creek.
For the last 13 years, the Finance and Administration division has recognized individuals from within that division who have demonstrated a solid team effort in their everyday actions, an outstanding Fredonia service attitude, creativity and resourcefulness in improving services, and a positive attitude in working with students, faculty and staff.
