The SUNY Fredonia student group, ENACTUS, established a SADD group on campus. SADD stands for students against destructive decisions. ENACTUS is a group of students, academic and business leaders who want to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world. The ENACTUS initiative is “Think Before You Act”.

Students who helped in forming the group include, Ashley Bucholtz, Brianna Noto, Jennifer Pfeffer, and Kayla Wojciechoweski. The group wants to work with the local high schools and college students in the area to promote SADD awareness.

In January, students went to Fredonia High School and encouraged students to pledge against drinking and driving. This event occurred before the High School’s winter dance. The group is plans to volunteer at Wellness Day in March. The group hopes to establish a relationship with Dunkirk High School’s SADD chapter.

Meetings are held every other Tuesday in Room 103C of the Williams Center at 8 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, March 5.
