The Office of Extended Learning was the recent recipient of the Dunkirk Observer's 2018 Vision Award for Education. Located on the second floor of Fenton Hall, the office is directed by Eric Skowronski with Secretary I Maureen Machemer.
Extended Learning offers a diverse set of education and training opportunities, both credit earning and noncredit. Among its responsibilities are J-Term and Summer Sessions operations, including marketing; Noncredit Training including professional certification and special interest courses; online professional education opportunities in conjunction with the College of Education; the Extended Learning Credit Program; serving as liaison for Open SUNY, credit-bearing instructor-led, asynchronous online courses; marketing and operations for the Summer Youth FREDcamps as part of Fredonia’s Strategic Enrollment Management initiative; coordinating the Fredonia in the High School program; serving as liaison for the New York State Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) Partnership; and coordinating the Magazine Exchange in the Fenton Hall lobby.
The Office of Extended Learning reports to Associate Provost for Graduate Studies, Sponsored Research and Faculty Development Judith Horowitz.
