Shayla Lipscomb and Cassie Rubin have been named Resident Assistant of the Month by the Office of Residence Life. They have been selected from among other RAs because of their dedication to their students and willingness to go out of their way to improve students’ life at Fredonia.

Lipscomb is described as going above and beyond for her residents by reaching out to them by name and assuring they know that she is there for them. She holds house programs and makes herself available during her office hours and spare time for anything that they need. It was noted that Lipscomb brings her energy to the rest of the staff and is always willing to brighten someone's day and make them laugh.

As a resident assistant, Rubin has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students. She is an advocate for gender inclusive housing and works directly with these students as their resident assistant. Rubin also works with various groups on campus to make sure transfer students are having the best transition possible to Fredonia. She will be taking the role of president in the Tau Sigma National Honor society next fall. Rubin is described as always striving to be more involved and to help students feel heard and included.
