Frank Warren, the sole founder and curator of the PostSecret Project, will offer a lecture on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. in King Concert Hall.

The project is a collection of over 200,000 highly personal and artfully decorated postcards mailed to him anonymously from around the world, which are described as “displaying the soulful secrets we never voice.” The talk will be followed by a question and answer session and book-signing.

The lecture is intended for a mature audience.

Mr. Warren started the PostSecret Project in 2004 as a form of community art. His first book based on the project, “PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives,” is a New York Times best-seller. He followed with “My Secret: A PostSecret Book,” “The Secret Lives of Men and Women: A PostSecret Book,” and “A Lifetime of Secrets.” Mr. Warren’s most recent book, “PostSecret: Confessions of Life, Death and God,” is slated for release this fall. In 2006 his PostSecret website, which receives in excess of three million visitors a month, was awarded six weblog awards, including “Best American Blog” and “Blog of the Year.” He has appeared on the Today Show, 20/20, CNN, MSNBC, National Public Radio and FOX News.

The lecture is sponsored by the Spectrum Entertainment Board, a student organization. Tickets are $5 for SUNY Fredonia students, faculty and staff (limit of one ticket), and all additional tickets and General Public tickets are $10. For more information, persons should contact the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office at 716-673-3501.
