Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y./Johnstown) will have company later this month on the diving deck at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving championship.

Bartlett, a double winner at the Zone 4 championships, will be joined by Heather Colby (Owego, N.Y./Owego), who earned her spot with a fourth-place finish in the women's 1-meter – coupled with a sixth-place finish in the 3-meter.

Arron Carlson (LeRoy, N.Y./Notre Dame) is making second appearance in as many years. The Fredonia sophomore earned his spot Saturday with a second-place finish in 3-meter springboard diving during the NCAA Zone 4 meet at SUNY Geneseo. Carlson scored 509.95 points for 11 dives. He was the defending zone champ in the event.

Fredonia sophomore Jeff Matter (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) won the zone 1-meter title and will accompany Carlson.

After two poor dives to start the competition, Colby rallied from the middle of the pack and finish with 394.35 points. A senior, she will be making her first trip to nationals, which will be held March 18-21 at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.

Bartlett, meanwhile, won Saturday's 1-meter zone final with 446.75 points. She was the 3-meter winner Friday, too, and like Colby will be attending nationals for the first time.

Fredonia's other women diver at zones was Samantha Kowalewski (Attica, N.Y./Attica), who finished 18th in the 1-meter event. There were 30 women entered in the competition, held at SUNY Geneseo.

Matter finished fourth in the 3-meter with 505.75 points while junior Rafael Santiago (Middletown, N.Y./Middletown) was seventh with 471.55.
