Earth Week has been celebrated at Fredonia for many years and the tradition will continue in 2015, with various events being offered by faculty, staff, and students.

In recognition of Fredonia’s commitment to sustainability and the principles outlined in the Power of Fredonia strategic plan, the campus will celebrate "Earth Month" in April.

As a kick off, the Sustainability Committee is organizing a "No Impact Week" event March 29 to April 5. No Impact Week is a challenge in which participants are asked to do a "carbon cleanse" by reducing their impact in a different area each day.

The campus will also continue popular activities such as the Campus and Community Electronics Recycling Day event.

For more information on the challenge visit www.fredonia.edu/earthweek/.

The Sustainability Committee focuses on all aspects of campus life by educating students, faculty, staff, and the community about environmental, social, and economic issues, as well as promoting environmental awareness and responsibility in personal and institutional choices and inspiring innovative environmental solutions, behavioral changes, and ethical stewardship of the natural world.
